equate the factors to 0....

x + 4 = 0; x + 1 = 0
x = -4; x = -1

@Luis_Rivera , anytime I've ever responded to you, there was a reason for it. Usually it is because you either post answers without explanation, or post an incorrect answer, or something of that nature. I don't know why you consider me your enemy. It doesn't have to be that way. If you just do what is right, there would be no problem.
