jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

first calcule the denominator common for x^2 -25 and x-5 - so if you see it well x^2 -25 =(x-5)(x+5) - than from this result that the denominator common will be x^2 -25 - yes ?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

- so than you need multiply the second fraction by x+5 - so and will get 5x/(x^2 -25) =2(x+5)/(x^2 -25) - so than 5x=2x +10 3x=10 x=10/3

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

and the restriction for fractions will be x not can being +/- 5 - because than the denominator will be zero and the fractions are undefined

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

- hope that is understandably good luck bye

so whats the answer?

Directrix (directrix):

Answer: x=10/3 from jhonyy9 above^
