Estimate the value, correct to 1 significant figure.
\[\left( \sqrt{8.01\times25.01} \right)\div1.99\]
This should be done without using a calculator.
What do I do next? @experimentX
i am looking
damn .. pretty difficult question. i think i should get pen and paper
Haha! Ok.
is it related to binomial theore??
*theorem
I don't know. I think maybe the question is wrong. Because it can't be solved without using a calculator. :/
i can be solved ... but the arduousity of method is the question here
How do you think it should be solved?
using binomial theorem ... quite complicated way though.
I have never done that in class. :/ However if the question is written like this: \[\left( \sqrt{8.01\times25.01\div1.99} \right)\] the answer would be 10, right?
no ... check from calc 7.0711
pretty close to 5\[5\sqrt{2}\]
Ok. Thank you for helping me out! :)
Oo.. looks like change in question
answer will be close to 10
i guess it's like this 8.01 == 8 25.01 == 25 1.99 == 2 you will get 10, thought it's not exactly correct/
still, i would be right upto 1 decimal places that is 10.0334
Ok. The question says estimate the value. So I think 10 would be correct. Thanks alot!
