Hi BVB_army - To "coax" means to persuade or encourage someone to do something. So, it wouldn't be appropriate to say mom persuaded Jen's volleyball team, or persuaded Dad's breakfast. It makes more sense to say she persuaded the baby to try the food. Hope this helps.
