I like Geometer's sketchpad.  You can find many files already made.
Google:   geometry topic + gsp
I like the sliders in the files, and animations.
Do I use it?  Only if I find a cool file already created.  I use winplot instead.
Geometer's sketchpad is too time consuming.

I see the reference to the carpet but not the file.  You should google it, you would be surprised to see the many GSP files already on the internet
