Solve 7W= -21. A. 147 B. -147 C. 3 D. -3

OpenStudy (nottim):

ok, so how do you isolate w?

OpenStudy (nottim):

and, what you do to one side, you have to do to the other

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The only problem i have with this one is, if you multiply a positive by a negative, is it going to become a negative or stay a positive?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a neg time positive is a neg. and pos times pos is pos, and a neg times neg is a pos

OpenStudy (nottim):

well, we know that 2 positives make a positive, and 2 negatives make a negative. one positive and one negative makes a negative then

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you move the 7 to the other side what do you get?

OpenStudy (nottim):

not "move", just isolate w

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its the exact same thing

OpenStudy (nottim):

its not a good way to think of it, in higher level classes
