Plot the y-intercept and the vertex of the following function: g(x) = - x2 + 6x - 8 What is the smallest zero of the function? Enter a number only.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To find the y-intercept simply plug in 0 for x -(0)^2+6(0)-8=y=-8 To find the smallest zero factor (-x+4)(x-2)=0 so the smallest zero is x=4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The vertex will be the largest point actually because the parabola is facing downwards because there is a negative infront of x^2
