What does ER mean in cells

Firstly, E.R. stands for Endoplasmic Reticulum. The ER has 2 types: the rough and the smooth. The rough ER's function is to manufacture proteins for the cell or to be transported to different parts of the body. The smooth ER's function is to remove harmful toxins from the system.

Endoplasmic Reticulum. it provide different environment than cell cytoplasm. it is nessacerry for some protein folding and metabolism of some compound.
