what is the difference between charge and polarisation??
|dw:1333631405122:dw| total charge =0 left charge=-8 right charge=+8
i dont think this is my ans @mos1635
charge is quite fundamental quantity like mass. usually charges like to stay balanced. but sometimes they are unbalanced and fields and forces seem to arise. In some molecules, due to orientation of charge centers, even though they are neutral, when on field, they seem to posses the above characteristic .. in figure .. it's polarization.
water is good example of it.

polarization is the orientations of charges in space while charge is a property that all matter has like mass. i assume.
i brb till den try :)
u are going in right path @kochana try to rephrase it again u are near to it :)
ok charge never depend on the frame of reference and speed but polarisation do as someone said above polarisation is like mass
remember one thing its not necessary dat evry object or anything is attracted must be charged as it can be neutral too
