is the eq of projectile motion: y=xtanO-gx2/2u^2cosÔ applicable to all kinds of projectile motion? say, even when a projectile is fired at an angle -10 degree wrt x axis at a height h ??
you can use that formula even for any heights PROVIDED u atke the time for entire journey the time of flight often mistaken to be time taken for entire journey is not the needed time here when i say time u have to realate it weith position x of projectile in that time t since the expression involves only x(horizontal dispalcement)
Only when you consider air resisstance, you can't apply that. If you take theta =-10, you'll get an inverted parabola.
yep.the equation is derived as a general case..all you need to do is always take origin at point of projection and the direction of projection as x axis(thus angle will always be positive).it will work if you take negative angle but its will include cos(-theta) etc, which may need some extra trignometry work ..
