What are the main characteristics of the water molecule?

A water molecule is composed of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. It is very common and is found in all three conditional states, solid (as ice), liquid (as water) and gas (as water vapor). Because it is a polar covalent molecule, it has a slight positive and slight negative charge on opposite ends.

Actually, I'm studying animal cells and wondered water features that influence the intracellular interactions.
I've read so much about ... but I can not formulate a complete answer. :/

It is V shaped, the oxygen atom is at the top and is connected to two hydrogen atoms.
