Find the value of C such that the graph of 3x + C = 5y has an x-intercept of (−4, 0).

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

x intercept means the value of x when y = 0...so why not substitute x and make y to zero?

x=-4, y=0 plug both values into equation and find value of C
