f(x)=x^(4)+4x^(2), a) what is power of the polynomial? b)what is the value of the coefficient? c) What do the pieces of information in a & b tell you about the "end behavior" of the polynomial?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a) Assuming power is the degree of the polynomial, four. The power is equal to the largest power, i.e., x^4. b) There are two coefficients, 1 and 4. I don't really understand which coefficient they are talking about. c) There are four roots to this polynomial, as given by the degree of the polynomial. P.S.: Sorry for the incompleteness of my answer. I didn't really understand of which coefficient they are referring in part b. Anyway, you should wait for a more complete answer :-)
