2. How does a universal genetic code relate to the hypotheses about the origin of life on Earth
I don't know
Consider the fact that despite the plethora of forms of life out there, and the variety of variations endowed upon them through natural selection, the genetic code has more or less remained consistent. Since we know that life forms are continuously branching off of the 'tree' of life, what does a constant genetic code indicate? If two branches share a characteristic, what does that possibly indicate about their origin?
Universal genetic code show life originated from a single ancester. as genetic code is same, and you dont have any logic for specifc codon usage, it provides a proof as all file forms are formed from a single ancester.
A universal genetic code, as its name already reveals, universalizes beings and approaches as to the origin. Since the primary DNA structure formation and development of human beings, when they have the same genetic material, narrow as to the common ancestry.
