curiosity.... the number of points needed to achieve a new level is based on what ?!
XP= experience points i believe
Medals, mostly. You get 100 points per medal. You also get points for achievements, which are chatting a certain number of times, answering a certain number of questions, asking a certain number of questions and giving a certain number of medals - but compared to medals, achievements are hard to come by.
I think you guys misunderstood the question or might be me. I think hoblos's question is asking why should it be 500xp from lvl 6-7 why not 1000xp
hmmm that's a pretty good induction @SchoolSlacker (Y) <---that's a thumbs up hehe if that is hoblos's question..then the experience needed to level up increases each rank (Neophyte, Lifesaver, Star, etc).
it was just made like that and that's it? :D
Pretty much. There's some secret sauce on the backend that makes it all happen, but the basic idea is that there is a sliding scale of difficulty. The higher the level, the harder it gets to level up. Wouldn't want things to get boring now would we? ;)
yeah @SchoolSlacker is right thats what i meant... yes i know about the sliding scale of difficulty but the weird part is the number of points needed!! for example 12819 points are needed to achieve level 85 knowing that medals and achievements give 100 points ( no tens and no ones) so where can we get the 19 from!!
you can get 12900
lol yeah it works like that ;)
