Hello. Need help solving this:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (experimentx):

yellow - red + green = blue

OpenStudy (inkyvoyd):

The triangle is three similar right triangles.

OpenStudy (experimentx):

yellow+green = red + blue

OpenStudy (inkyvoyd):

Nevermind, just take my hint that the triangles are similar.

OpenStudy (experimentx):

base of grey^2 = yellow - red

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

you are given:\[x^2+y^2=33\]and you know:\[x^2=a^2+b^2\]\[c^2=y^2+b^2\]

OpenStudy (experimentx):

b^2 = x^2 - a^2 .... nice diagram

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

\[y^2=b^2-c^2\]add this to the equation for \(x^2\) to get:\[x^2+y^2=a^2+c^2\]

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

sorry:\[y^2=c^2-b^2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks for the help. I do really appreciate it :)

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll do it myself now ^_^
