how to solve? x^4 - 3x^3 + 2=0

hero (hero):

The only way to solve it is by "guessing" what one of the factors are. Hint: One of the factors are (x+1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i attempted to factor.. \[x ^{4}-3x ^{2}+2=0 \] \[(x ^{2}-2)(x ^{2}-1)\] so.. \[\pm \sqrt{2}, \pm1 ?\]

hero (hero):

I gave you one of the factors. All you have to do is divide x^4 - 3x^2 + 2 by x + 1 to find the other factor.
