A regular pentagon has an apothem of 3.2 m and an area of 37.2 m². What is the length of one side of the pentagon?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

area will be = 8(l*a)/2 ---- where l is lenght of side and a is the apothem - so than 37,2 = 8(l*3,2)/2 37,2=4(l*3,2) 37,2=12,8*l l= 37,2/12,8 =372/128 =2,9 m

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

sorry a have maked the calcules for octogon - so than will be 37,2 =5(l*3,2)/2 37,2=16l/2 37,2=8l l=37,2/8 =4,65 m this is right sure

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

ok ?
