Which country would be easier to overtake, and keep power within? 1) A country who has many leaders within who consider themselves of equal standing and each have their own devoted followers. 2) A country who has one supreme leader and no one is considered equal to him?

Just a simple fun question...

I think number 2 because people who bow to a "supreme leader" may not know what to do with themselves if something happened to their beloved leader. If the leader were injured, killer or otherwise unavailable, there would be a kind of chaos - the people wouldn't know what to do without someone in charge to tell them. Of course, this is an extreme example, but all in fun (like the question). A good example might be North Korea. The culture there demands that all faith is invested in the supreme leader who is never questioned and is the ultimate authority. Without him to take command, the people are helpless to act. It is totally different in a place like the country described in #1 (such as the U.S.) where, in the absence of leadership, anarchy often results. Fun question.

@Atam Good answer! (You got it right!) Why did you choose your answer though? Based of logic or because you read a book...Dare I say, "The Prince" by Machiavelli?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hi Vinnyra - I guess it was logic, although ten years ago I had a boss who made me read The Prince so I would understand how she expected to be treated!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Really? She made you read it to understand how to treat her? That's dangerous as you could have just as easily used the knowledge to "defeat" her. I wish this section had more people, the soft sciences tend to make one's brain work harder than the hard sciences.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, maybe the category is too general. Plus a lot of the questions posted are because people need help with assignments, as opposed to asking out of general curiosity or a desire to make people think.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Countries with a supreme leader tend to have a structure in place that when that leader dies or becomes ill the country resumes a correct order of things. An easier country to overtake would be a country that has many leaders of whom "CONSIDER" themselves on equal standing whether they are or not because there is more likelihood that those leaders can be persuaded into seeing the faults of their higher leadership.
