a. 6% of 3600 is 216 answer = $216
b. add 2% to 6% and get 8%. 8% of 3600 is 288. answer = $288

To get these ansers ( Or to find the percentage amount of any number) you first need to turn the Percentage into decimal form. To do this, move the decimal over 2 places to the left

Example: 8% = .08
47% = .47

once you have your decimal multiply it with the number you are trying to find the percentage for.

In your case multiply .06 by 3600 to get 216 -> .06 X 3600 = 216 so therefore 216 is 6% of 3600.

.08 X 3600 = 288 therefore 288 is 8% of 3600

21,600=100x divided that gives you 216.
