-2x - 6 < 4 so we are looking for an interval of values of x that we can sub into the equation and recieve numbers that are smaller than 4 TLDR: We are looking for a range of numbers that give us an output smaller than 4. Note this number can be infinitely close to 4 but never 4. So 3.9999999 would do or 3.999999999999 solve for x -2x - 6 = 4 and I will show you how to express this interval
