If f(x) = 2x + 3 and g(x) = (x - 3)/2, what is the value of f[g(-5)]?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first find g(-5) by plugging in -5 for x in g(x). Then, plug the value you found for g(-5) for x in f(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so g(-5)=(-5-3)/2=-4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then f(-4)=2(-4)+3=-5
