Bernice wants to seed her large back yard with grass. Her back yard is in the shape of a rectangle with dimensions 130 feet by 100 feet. The seed costs $5.99 for a 1-pound bag, and each bag covers up to 1050 square feet. How much will the seed cost?
I'll seed her backyard......
Find the area of the rectangle. Then divide it by 1050 which will equal the amount of bags needed. Always round that number up if it is a fraction as you can only buy whole number bags.
Then multiply the number of bags with the price.
Have a good day.
Find the area of her backyard first Area of rectangle = length width 130ft(100ft) 13000 square feet Then find the required number of bags to fill the backyard Each bag covers 1050 feet so 13000/1050 = 12.38 or 12 bags since you can't ask for 12.38 bags lol Multiply 12 by $5.99 = 71.88 The seeds will cost $71.88
Woah woah. No answers unless they try it first. Helping not giving.
you go to 13 bags right? So the answer is $77.87, right?
I'm used to giving answers but i understand how spoonfeeding is not the best way in giving answers in os T_T @mathhelp89: I'm not sure of that because when you round of 12.38 it becomes 12 so it's still $71.88
You round up always. It is 13 bags.
You will be short that .38 bags of seed....
@UoflMechEng oh right haha forgot about that
;) I got chyou.
