The Miller's family room measures 15 feet by 21 feet. They are covering the floor with square tiles that measure 1 foot on a side that cost $0.96. How much will they spend on the tile?

OpenStudy (nottim):

well. find the area of both. area is length times width. then, divide the area of the room by that of the square tiles. Then multiply that value (which is the number of tiles) by the cost for one square tile

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So, 315 divided by the number or square tiles?

OpenStudy (nottim):

eh. i didnt do the math myself.

OpenStudy (nottim):

what's the number, whats the square tiles.

OpenStudy (nottim):

oh, just multiply that by the cost.

OpenStudy (nottim):

are you good then? do you have the answer you want

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, sorry. Thank you.

OpenStudy (nottim):
