Divide the first polynomial by the second... 2x^3-6x^2+5x-2, x-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well first check if it is a factor sub x = 2 into first we get 0 so we can just factorise out x -2 \[2x^3 - 6x^2 + 5x -2= (x-2)(2x^2 - 2x + 1)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so dividing we just get 2x^2 - 2x +1
