Why does my level go from zero when I log on; then to one; then to seventeen if I answer a question?

Hm. That's certainly one of the versions we test against. Is this happening within the same group or are you seeing your level change as you move throughout groups?

It's currently showing level one in this group and level zero in the math group

Ok, you are, in fact, level 1 in this group but it certainly shouldn't be showing level 0 for you in Math. (You are level 17). Hmmm.

When I'm a level zero, I don't show up as a member in the group.

I suspect this is an issue related to how we're handling the login sequence. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I'll file a formal bug report internally and we'll see what we can do to get it taken care of.
