U can say that but lay in bed until u decide to get up is not the best example of the first law in my opinion, can u think of others?

Early morning i was cycling, my bike continued to be in motion till no external force was applied... At a bend, i suddenly saw a car (which was of course parked at the middle of road for some reason), i immidiately applied force on brakes.. my bike decelerated ( -vely accelerated) and the decelleration was directly proportional to force applied by me on brakes.. bt somehow i hit the parked car.. N i bumped back.. the car provided an equal force (bt in opposite direction) as a reaction to the force i applied to car when i hit it...
