The volume of a cylinder is ninety cubic meters. What is the volume of a cone with the same radius and the same height as the cylinder? Answer one hundred eighty cubic meters thirty cubic meters forty-five cubic meters two hundred seventy cubic meters

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The volume of a cylinder is (pi) r^2 (h). So pi r^2 (h) = 90. The volume of a cone is 1/3 (pi) r^2 (h). You should be able to see that the volume of a cone is 1/3 the volume of a cylinder, therefore the the answer is 30.
