what does the growth of a transformant on slective medium depend upon? a) antibiotic resistance gene b) trans acting control elements c) cis acting control elements d) an ORI e) an MCS

Selective mediums are used to isolate a specific colony of bacteria that you want to grow. So you'd want to pick the choice that's "unique". For example, every plasmid has D - an origin of replication. So you can rule that one out, because you can't differentiate between bacteria based on whether or not their plasmids have an ORI (they all do). So given that info, what do you think your best choice is?

anitbiotic resistance gene

Perfect! That's what I'd go with as well.
