OpenStudy (anonymous):

try to draw a pic. a line for the lamp, the left side of a triangle, then the 15` away, bottom of the triangle, your hypotenuse is the 8` and the bottom angle btwn th e15 and 8 is the 50 degrees elevation

A 60-foot tree casts a shadow 85 feet long. The sine of the angle of elevation of the top of the tree to the sun is approximately _____. can someone help me with this one too

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep the angle of 15` is 90 remember then it should be able to set an equation to get the other side(height of lamp)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I will try give me a feew

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanx alot i appreciate :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep np

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the sine problem, is it multi choice?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1334085378980:dw| the angle you need is the angle of 60`minus 180.
