Yeah, wow. Hefty question and I'm not going to even try to explain, because it'll take forever and it's too hard when not in person. So I recommend this video at this link: http://www.khanacademy.org/#polynomials I think this is the best way to learn it, through a series of polynomial videos. Sorry, but don't know how else to help
