A wooden plug has a square with sides of 3 cm each and a thickness of 1 cm. A cylindrical stump of 1 cm diameter is attached to it. If the total volume of the wooden plug is 12.96 cm^3 find the total height of the wooden plug. (take pi = 3.142)

Directrix (directrix):

Plug Volume = volume of rectangular solid + volume cylinder 12.96 = 3*3*1 + pi * r^2 * h 12.96 = 9 + 3.142 *1^2*h 3.96 = 3.142 h h = 3.96/3.142 h = 1.260 cm

OpenStudy (radar):

Would you now add the height of the square portion (i cm) to your calculated height to obtain the total height?
