Hi there, your non vascular plants comprise three main groups - the liverworts, the hornworts, and your mosses. Though these three groups may seem pretty disparate, you have some basic characteristics linking them all - dominant gametophyte generation, lack of tissue, generally are smaller and must stick by water sources (e.g., swamps).

They also have flagellated sperm (again, a reminder of their water-dependent lifestyles). Here are some scientific names - liverworts are known as hepatophytes, hornworts as anthocerophytes, and mosses as bryophytes. This is from Raven's Biology of Plants (my copy might be a bit outdated though).
