So if i threw a ball from the nearest universe to earth would it ever land on earth?

i think u want to replace universe with planet
no every planet here has got a well developed magnetic field and ours has a thick atmosphere coating too
this prevents asteroids(bigger ball made of stone) from hitting us
the magnetic field reduces or deflects these away
while atmosphere reducing there speed and hence their momentum when hitting us if they do succeed
so this is rarely posible for a big asteriod wat is the chance that ur ball will have?

@UncleRhaukus, there are some theories of the existence of parallel universes, but noone knows if they are true.
The universe is really large.(probably boundless). But let's say that we believe that our universe has a boundary, and that outside this boundary, there are several other universes.

Suppose B is our universe. And you're in universe A, and you throw a ball with its escape velocity from the planet you're in. If the earth would have been to the extreme left edge of B, and your planet on the extreme right edge of A, you might have succeeded. Because then the earth's gravity would have pulled in the ball.
But the earth is not at the edge of the universe. Extremely distant bright objects called quasars are hypothesized to be at the edge of our universe. Earth might be somewhere near the middle. So, your ball would either float in space forever or be attracted by the gravity of another celestial object(most probably quasars).

pls add a proof of existense of other universe before giving a background,as u may perhaps learn in process that universe has no end; just like u cant run to the edge of earth....and if u really like to talk about stuffs that are yet to be proved then u must obviously know that in between two universes nothing can exist not even "space" as it is itself created inside a universe..to travel between two universes one need a tunnel/portal or such stuffs.
@luisrock2008:assuming you have a portal near u,u can throw the ball to different universe everywhere, even while in your bedroom,else nope :)

I am not doubting the existence /nonexistence of other galaxies, parallel universes etc. i am merely pointing out that the word universe is the wrong choice of word.
