The cube shown has a volume of 125cm3.What is the area? A.I.M.s sample test

Directrix (directrix):

If the volume of the cube is 125 cubic cm, then 125 = e^3 where e is the length of the edge of the cube. Taking cube roots of both sides of the equation, e = 5. The length of one of the sides of the six congruent squares forming the cube is 5. Each square face has area 5*5 = 25 square cm. The surface area of the cube is 6 (25) = 150 square cm.
