doubt :?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

study of reltion btw species and with its environment is called autecology . now can we say it isthat study of relation btw individal community and its environment is called autecology??

OpenStudy (rogue):

There's another branch of ecology called synecology, which is the study of different species living in the same environment, and their relations with one another. By the way you worded your question, I'm not 100% sure it's synecology, but it might be.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no this is my nest doubt which u said abu synceology related to this my doubt is here there are saying that sstudy of relation btw different species and environment... now my doubt is can we say that study of different community and environment relation is called synceology

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nest=*next

OpenStudy (rogue):

Autoecology: A subfield of ecology concerned with the individual organism or species in relation to its environment. Synecology: A subfield of ecology concerned with the relations between groups of organisms or coexisting biological communities. Source: Biology-online.org

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm u knw first tell me i m right or not community mean containing different type of species population means containing same type of species

OpenStudy (rogue):

Yeah, thats correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok den for autecology we can say that study of relation btw population with its environment is called autecology and study of community with its enviroment is called synceology??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

community: An ecological unit composed of a group of organisms or a population of different species occupying a particular area, usually interacting with each other and their environment.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ah.. these terms are so much confusing as i already used these terms before but now i m came to know the actaul meaning :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

population:A group of organisms of one species that interbreed and live in the same place at the same time (e.g. deer population).

OpenStudy (rogue):

That is correct as well. Its not worth getting into the technicalities of the terms, its better to get a basic or general understanding of them.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in general these terms seem to be closely related but there is a great difference between them..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

actaully my teacher usually use these terms wat i said above and we get confuse so i m just asking wat i said is corrct or not ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would love to know the difference so plz @pandit

OpenStudy (rogue):

I'm not so sure about what you said about synecology. Its not really the interactions between the community and the environment, but rather the different species in the community, or multiply communities.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@heena yeah....u r correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah and different species makes community

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@pandit u are telling me the difference btw community and population plz go on...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@heena i have told the basic difference now m going to define u synecology..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Synecology; The study of environmental relations of groups of organisms, such as communities. a branch of ecology concerned with biocenoses, that is, communities of many species of animals, plants, and microorganisms.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

biocenosis means can u define the term plzz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why don't u check wikipedia? @heena

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@heena: as far as m concerned biocenosis is the synonim of community here we go for definition Biocenosis: A group of interacting organisms that live in a particular habitat and form a self-regulating ecological community.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

srry.. @pandit i dont get from self regulating ecological community

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wat is means here to say that??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k...A biocoenosis (also called a biotic community , ecological or simply community) is the set of organisms of all species coexisting in a defined space called biotope that provides the necessary environmental conditions for survival. source wikipedia @heena

OpenStudy (rogue):

A biocenosis is like a self-sufficient community that stays in a small area with a uniform environment throughout. The self-regulating part means that it's l.i.k.e. its own mini-ecosystem, although it is not.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok there is a one concept came that organism itself react with its environment and dat cause the reason for their lifespan get reduce

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k...... don't get confuse biocenosis is a synonem of community.. look at the definition which i have posted from wikipedia

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so we can say that we humans are also reacting with our environment so at once the time will come that no organism will be found of homosapiens??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@heena yeah u r rit

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thnQ so much to all of u for being here :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@heena; it ok by the way pleasure is always mine....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THANKS @heena DIDI

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I hope I can help u out in a better way in future @heena didi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

HAPPY........
