I know that this is a reduction with a scale of 1/3 compared to the big triangle, but how do I show my work to prove that?

the image is the "after" picture so the "before" picture (called the preimage) is the bigger one. so this is a reduction.... just 1/3 to each of the lengths of the sides of the before picture and see if it will give you length of the sides of the "after" picture.
