OpenStudy (wondermath):

The voltage signal from a standard North american wall socket can be described by the equation V(t)=170sin129(pi)(t), where t is time, in seconds, and V is the voltage, in volts, at time t. a) Find the min and max voltage and the times at which they occur.

OpenStudy (wondermath):

i got the derivative but i dont know how to find the zeroes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mas volatage is 170 min -170

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the derivative is 170*129*Pi *cos(129*Pi*t). To find maximums and minimums set it to 0. You will get that 0 ocure for t= (2n-1)/258 for n=1,2,3.....n For odd n you get maximum, for even----minimum
