Last question! How do you divide fractions? The problem I've got is 32/45 divided by 48/35

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you multiply by the opposite of the second one i.e. (32/45)(35/48). where you just multiply the top through and the bottom through.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When you divide a number by another number, it's the same as multiplying by the reciprocal of that number. For example, (A/B)/(C/D) = (A/B)*(D/C)

so i get 1120/2160? what is the easiest way to simplify that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

divide by things you know "fit" into both numbers" such as 2 and 10 which will give you 56/108 then you can divide by 2 again to get 28/54 and again 14/27 and thats it.

thats the answer I ended up with. thank you.
