What is the range of the function shown below? f(x)= -12/ x^2+6 A. All real numbers B. All real numbers less than 0 C. All real numbers greater than or equal to -2 and less than 0 D. All real numbers greater than or equal to -2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

denominator is always positive because \(x^2\geq 0\) and so \(x^2+6\geq6\) numerator is negative because... well because it is. so whole thing is negative this will never be below -2 because when x = 0 you get -2 and for any other value of x you will get something bigger, so answer is C

in any case it seems the answer is always C
