IS IT B? >> May's Internet Services designs websites. May noticed an increase in her customers over a period of five (5) consecutive weeks. The first week she had one (1) customer, the second week she had three (3) customers, and the third week she had five (5) customers. Use inductive reasoning to make a conjecture about the number of customers May will have in the sixth week. A. 9 B. 10 C. 11 D. 12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think C because it increases by 2 each week, by 6th week it is 11

Directrix (directrix):

The number of customers appears to increase two each week. As the week increases by 1, the number of customers increases by 2, a constant rate of change. C = 2W -1 where C is the number of cutomers and W is the week number where w is greater than or = 1 and an integer. In the 6th week, May should have 2(6) - 1 = 11 customers --> C
