calc III Supposte the gradient of f(0,0)=2i+(3/2)j Find a unit vector u such that Duf(0,0) is a max. what is that max? i do not know where to start... how can i take a gradient without variableS? 5/2 is the magnstude. multiply that by the function to get the unit vector... then multidly the unit vector by the gradient to get the max Directional derivitive in the directinon of u. i get 125/8... does anyone else get the sam answEr?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

so, gradient dot u, is the derivative in the direction of u

OpenStudy (amistre64):

2a + 3/2 b = max would seem to be the appropriate solution
