Factor completely: 2x3 + 4x2 + 6x + 12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

take x common and you will get an equation(quadratic ) so you can easily solve it...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have no clue what to do with it

One of your factors will be (x+2). Do you know how to to divide polynomials using long division or synthetic division to find the remaining quadratic equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When I factor out (x-2), I get the quadratic equation:\[2x ^{2}+6\]You will need to use the quadratic formula to solve for the other two factors. quadratic formula \[(-b \pm \sqrt{b ^{2}-4ac})(/2a)\] So a=2 b=0 and c=6
