talk to him about what he will be writing in the class like types of writing and such.... tell him requirements of certain writing assignments

He needs to know organization, what lessons to use on what days, the type of assignments to give out, like the kind that challenge but don't frustrate, he needs to know what to look for when grading those assignments, he needs to know who is the smartest in the class and who well isn't, so tell him what signs to look for, what he could do to keep a class in order, and to keep an open mind to suggestions on how to make his class fun and exciting
