An airline stewardess randomly chose 25 passengers on a transatlantic flight and asked them if they liked the new entertainment system. Twenty-one of those surveyed said yes. If there are 231 passengers in all, about how many would you expect to say that they liked the new entertainment system?

We see that 21 of the 25 people surveyed liked the new system. Thus, we can estimate that 21/25, or 84%, of people will like it. Then we can expect that about 84% of the 231 passengers would say they liked the system. 0.84*231 = 194.04, so we'd expect about 194 people to be in favor.
