6+11s-35s^2

The question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry! Factor the Trinomial completely.

-35s^2 + 11s + 6 (7s +2)(-5s + 3)

Thanks =)

So the way you get that is: Set up two parenthesis: ( )( ) Look at the factors of the first thing, -35s^2. Those are my options for the first 2 terms. They could be 5, -7 or -5, 7. Now look at the factors of the last thing, 6. Those are my options for the last 2 terms. They could be 6, 1 or 2,3 Now try combos of those until you get one to work. They need to make the middle term 11.

I tried to do it by taking the negative out making it -(35s^2-11-6) So I got confused..
