you can find length of hose by using pythagorean thm BD = sqrt(28^2 +21^2)
tan(60) = BD/AD --> AD = BD/tan(60)
maybe im not reading your diagram correctly?

yeah that sounds right
|dw:1334289375050:dw| you have to use trig or special right triangles its a 30-60-90 triangle with ratios 1:sqrt3:2 --> 35/AD = sqrt3 --> AD = 35/sqrt3
