If, working together, the two machines can complete the job in 45 min, how long would it take each machine, working alone, to copy the brochures

K/(H+O) = 45
K being the amount of printing to get done
H is how fast the HP prints (pages per minute)
O is how fast the Officejet prints
O is twice as fast as H, so
H = 2O.
So we can substitute in to
K/(H+O)

And solve for K/H or for K/O to figure out how long either of them would take.
