This is some of the work I did on it: y = |x^5| = 8 R = 2^(3/5) V = 192 A = 1/2 ab^2, h = ab (a>1)

from your equations above: b = 2 y^1/5 since if you solve for x, x = y^1/5 Area = 1/2*(2y^1/5)*(2ay^1/5) = 2ay^2/5 integrate over y from 0 to 8 \[V = 2a \int\limits_{0}^{8}y^{2/5} dy = 192\]

I went: A = 1/2 a(y^(1/5))^2 = 1/2 ay^(2/5)
