In a mapping diagram of the relation shown, how many outputs have more than one line? x y 8 11 10 8 9 9 13 13 11 6 12 5 none one two three
please someone help me i really really need it i have no idea what to do
can anyone please just help me
A function takes inputs (Xs) and maps them to outputs (Ys). An ordered pair like (3,2) says that the function takes the input 3 and maps it to the output of 2. A rule of functions is that no input can get mapped to two outputs. So I can't have the ordered pair (3,1) and (3,2). However, two inputs can get mapped to the same output! =D So for example, if 2 and 10 both got mapped to 5, I would have the ordered pairs (2,5) and (10,5).
what is the awnswer?
a,b,c,d???
Now a mapping diagram shows your inputs on one side and your outputs on the other, then draws lines to show what gets mapped to what. Like this: |dw:1334343850017:dw|
